Bihar Labor Card Scheme 2025 – Benefits of all these schemes available to labor card holders
Bihar Labor Card holders get the benefits of the following 17 schemes. ,
1. Maternity benefits:- On completion of membership of minimum one year, an amount equivalent to 90 days’ wages of the minimum wage fixed for unskilled workers by the State Government on the date of delivery is payable to the registered female construction worker for the first two deliveries. This grant is in addition to health, social welfare and other departments.
2. Financial assistance for education:- On completion of minimum one year membership, sons and daughters of registered construction workers will be given:-
- Full tuition fees for admission in government institutes of excellence like IIT/IIM and AIIMS etc.
- Lump sum amount of Rs 20,000/- on admission in a government institute for B.Tech or equivalent course.
- Lump sum amount of Rs 10,000/- for studying Government Polytechnic/Nursing or equivalent diploma course.
- Lump sum of Rs 5,000/- for Government ITI or equivalent.
3. Cash Prize:- After membership of minimum one year, a maximum of two children of registered construction workers will be given a benefit of ₹ 25 thousand every year on scoring 80% or more marks in the 10th and 12th examination conducted by any board under the state of Bihar, ₹ 15 thousand on scoring 70% to 79.99% marks and ₹ 10 thousand on scoring 60% to 69.99% marks.
4. Financial assistance for marriage:- ₹ 50,000/- (Fifty thousand) to the registered male/female worker, if he remains a member for three years, to his two adult daughters or to the female member herself, but workers who marry for the second time are not entitled to this scheme. This is in addition to the inter-caste marriage promotion scheme.
5. Cycle Purchase Scheme:- After completing the membership of minimum one year, after purchasing the bicycle, a maximum of ₹ 3,500/- (Rupees Three Thousand Five Hundred) on providing the receipt of purchase of the bicycle.
6. Tool Purchase Scheme:- Maximum ₹ 15,000/- (Rupees fifteen thousand) for training given to registered construction workers for skill upgradation and tools of their trade related to their training.
7. Building Repair Grant Scheme:- Maximum ₹ 20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) only once on completion of three years of membership. But those who have already received money for building construction/bicycle and tools will not be given this benefit.
8. Medical assistance to the beneficiary:- An amount equivalent to the Chief Minister’s Medical Assistance Fund. Those workers who have not received funds from the Chief Minister’s Medical Assistance Fund, will be provided an equivalent amount by the Health Department for the treatment of incurable diseases.
9. Annual Medical Assistance Scheme:- Its benefit will be available to all registered eligible construction workers, under which a lump sum amount of ₹ 3,000/-(Rupees three thousand) will be transferred to the beneficiary’s account every year.
10. Pension:- On completion of minimum five years of membership and after attaining the age of 60 years, pension of ₹ 1,000/- (Rupees one thousand) per month will be payable. Provided that pension benefit has not been received under any other social security scheme.
11. disability pension:- ₹ 1,000/- (Rupees one thousand) per month, paralysis, leprosy, T.B. Or in case of permanent disability due to accident etc. and in case of permanent total disability, a lump sum amount of ₹ 75,000/- (Rupees seventy-five thousand) is payable and in case of partial disability, a lump sum amount of ₹ 50,000/- (Rupees fifty thousand) is payable.
12. Financial assistance for cremation:- ₹5000/- (Rupees five thousand) to the dependent of a registered construction worker
13. Death Benefit:- ₹ 2,00,000/- (Rs. two lakh) in case of natural death, and ₹ 4,00,000/- (Rs. four lakh) in case of accidental death. If the death occurs during a disaster and a grant has been given by disaster management, then in that case only ₹ 1,00,000/- (Rs. one lakh) is payable by the Board.
14. Family Pension:- 50 percent of the amount received by the pensioner after the death of the pensioner or ₹ 100/- (Rupees One Hundred), whichever is higher.
15. Paternity benefits:- On completion of minimum one year membership, male workers whose wife is not registered with the Board will be paid ₹ 6,000/- (Rupees Six Thousand) per delivery for the first two deliveries of his wife.
16. Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana:- The amount of contribution fixed under this scheme for registered construction workers in the age group of 18 to 40 years will be borne by the Board for five years.
17. Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana:- Under this scheme, the actual expenses incurred on the medical treatment of the construction workers and their family members registered in the Board who are not covered by the Social, Economic and Caste Census 2011 will be borne by the Board.
