INDORE: In wake of the Indore tragedy caused by contamination of the water supply, BJP MP from Khandwa Gyaneshwar Patil has called for greater public accountability, urging the people to bring deficiencies or contamination issues to the administration’s notice immediately rather than relying entirely on state intervention.“Whether it is Khandwa, a municipal council, or a gram panchayat, we must all learn lessons from the Indore tragedy. It is not right to leave everything to govt or rely solely on them. It is also the responsibility of the public to ensure safety, and we must all work to fulfil that duty,” Patil said.Highlighting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Har Ghar Nal’ (tap water for every home) vision, Patil urged citizens to play a pro-active role in helping to sort out flaws.
