JAMMU: J&K Police’s State Investigation Agency (SIA) attached the property of a Pakistan-based Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist in Doda district on Wednesday.Officials identified the accused as Zahid Hussain, a self-styled commander of the proscribed outfit. A native of Mangota village in Doda’s Marmat area, he had illegally crossed over to Pakistan in 2000 and has since been operating from across the border. Hussain was involved in radicalising and recruiting Kashmiri youth as overground workers through social media platforms, officials said.SIA stated that the land owned by Hussain was identified, physically verified, inspected and attached in the presence of the executive magistrate and independent witnesses. The attachment, carried out on court orders, was part of a crackdown aimed at dismantling the terror ecosystem in the Union Territory.
